Save our Rivers and Seas Stunt

Raw sewage is being poured into our rivers and seas every day. Over 1,000 times a day in 2023. And the government isn't legally required to do anything about it.

We urgently need to enshrine the right to a healthy environment in UK law, to give communities the power to take back their local seas and beaches, to hold polluters to account.

Sheffield Friends of the Earth will be taking fishing rods to the River Don near Lady's Bridge to fish out large inflatable emoji turds. This photo stunt will be used to accompany a press release to local media.

If you are sick of water companies treating our rivers and seas like a toilet then please join us at Nursery Street Pocket Park at 10am. If you are planning to attend then let us know via email at admin@sheffieldfoe.co.uk.
