Campaigning
Planet over Profit Campaign- Feedback from webinar on Wednesday 16 September, 7.00pm. See notes here.
- Westminster Action on Wednesday 21 October - Shaun shared the programme for the day and Julia is hoping to be able to attend on the day
- Need to also engage MPs locally and try and get meetings to ask them to sign the Good Business Pledge and write to the Minister responsible (potentially on the Friday?)
- FoE will be releasing a report just before the lobby that we can use with local MPs
- Various resources available and engagement with party conferences etc
Climate Change
- 15 Sep - Fracking letter to MPs regarding attending the Energy Independence Bill on 15 Sep - letters were sent to Gill Furniss (Shaun had no response) and Clive Betts (Claire did get a response
- 21 Sep - Webinar - Building local resilience to online climate disinformation Saul and Claire are attending and Shaun has signed up to get recording after the webinar
- 15-17 Oct - Investor State Dispute Settlement: Global Justice Now - Julia had attempted to contact Simon from Global Justice but we haven’t heard anything about a stall. Shaun suggested writing an article for the Star but ideally needs a local angle.
- Sat 17 Oct - The Together Summit is happening in Manchester (9am start) - Currently no one available to attend from Sheffield.
- Shaun’s article on solar panels and food provides a comprehensive overview of a complex issue - links to the need to counter disinformation - could provide information as an infographic and/or promotion on social media and share with other FoE groups.

- Standing item with a request for articles and for news and campaign updates.
Group Development
- Local Campaign Organiser role - volunteers still needed for group roles
- Launch meetings for FoE Groups in Doncaster and Rotherham - Sue, Julia and Liddy attended the Doncaster meeting and Julia and Liddy to attend Rotherham meeting tomorrow
- Admin tasks - Shaun has sent his article to Simon Bowens and is awaiting response from national FoE
