Meeting Notes - Monday 16 February 2026 7.30pm - 9pm

Next Meeting: We agreed to meet on Zoom (or hybrid) in March and at University Arms in April

Campaigns

Planet over Profit Campaign
  • Feedback from Thu 29 Jan Webinar - Ashwini attended; the main action at the moment is supporting groups to organise film showing
  • Change Lab
    • Update on progress with businesses - LIddy to ask students to share their plans for the map and materials for businesses to display
    • Update on progress for the film screening - Liddy to confirm booking for Thursday 26th March and organise the license; ask students to advertise on social media and group members to plan for a panel Q&A (could ask students to get questions in advance).
  • Stalls - Best date seems to be 17th May for either Weston Park or Pollen Market stall - Claire to explore options for booking one of these; Sue has visited the Utilita energy centre and agreed to get back to them with dates later in the summer. Saul has shared information on banner options - need something portable and robust; could include the local group name and logo, FoE strapline and QR code of the website.
Climate Change
  • Not planning any actions at present
Events
  • Together Alliance March - national event on Sat 28 March; coaches available from Sheffield to London
  • Lunch & Learn on Sustainability for Earth Day - Ashwini is to deliver this 14th April; plans to share the presentation with the group in March to get feedback.

Group Development
  • Group Development course - Ashwini & Liddy have two more modules to complete and will be asking for input from the group via WhatsApp.

  • Event speaker invite: Flight Free UK event, 23rd April - Shaun has suggested they contact SYCA
  • Shaun has ensured website now contains links to FoE data/maps and others
