We were pleased to be at the EcoFest held at the Goldsmith Centre in Sprotborough on Saturday 10th June
It was a fantastic initiative from the Sprotborough and Cusworth Parish Council bringing together lots of groups and organisations all committed to taking action on the climate and nature emergency.
We had a stall alongside the South Yorkshire Climate Alliance, and focused on the United for Warm Homes campaign.
Local MP Ed Miliband, Shadow Secretary of State for Climate Change and Net Zero and gave a short, impassioned speech about the need for action and labour's determination to take this action if they are relected to government. In a brief exchange with Sheffield FoE Coordinator, Lindy, he reassured her of their commitment to the 'no new oil and gas' plan which had just been announced.
