As part of a global day of action and as world leaders are meeting in Egypt for COP27, we will be joining campaigners from across Yorkshire on Saturday November 12th for a rally and march for climate justice.
At COP26 in Glasgow last year, lots of claims were made about a determination to tackle climate change with promises made to bring plans in 12 months time to another 'Conference of the Parties'. So - how will countries be responding?
Will their plans be real? Meaningful? Sufficient? Will they address the need to support those countries who have done least to cause the crisis but will be first and worst affected?
Join us at the rally, which will gather in Barkers Pool, in front of the City Hall on Saturday 12th from 12 noon. Look out for the Sheffield Friends of the Earth banner (we'll be at the bottom of the City Hall steps initially) and come and say hello!
