Sheffield Friends of the Earth is celebrating 40 years of environmental campaigning by hosting a 40th birthday party on Thursday 16 October 2014 from 7.30pm until 11pm.

The flyer for the event can be downloaded here.

The party will feature:
  • a vegetarian and vegan buffet
  • live music
  • a review of the past 40 years of campaigning (talks and videos)
  • a bar (not included in the ticket price)
  • a talk by Friends of the Earth Executive Director, Andy Atkins.
A new book launch by Jude Warrender called Cranks & Revolutions. It celebrates 40 years of graphic work by Sheffield artist Paul Warrender on behalf of local environmental and community organisations. It will appeal to all interested in graphics in a pre-computer era, or who are curious about the growth of environmental awareness from the 1970s onwards.
