Amy attended the Trees Campaign webinar and the main campaign is for more sustainable tree planting (rather than focusing on “off set” based policies). Suggestions for actions included talking to councils, land owners, farmers, park management etc. and discussing local opportunities to support appropriate types of tree planting. Amy will circulate slides and notes. Next steps could involve discussion with relevant council officers about support for tree planting initiatives. Groundworks could also provide a forum to bring interested groups together around supporting tree planting in priority areas. We agreed to follow up and collect some relevant information to share.
