Beatrice has emailed Louise Haigh MP to arrange a handover of all the postcards we collected during the summer asking for solar panels to be fitted to school roofs. We plan to invite some solar companies to the hand over so we can also focus on the planned cut to the feed-in-tariff which will result in 20,000 jobs losses in the solar industry.
We'd like to contact other MPs, for example, Clive Betts and Harry Hapham, as people from their constituency have also signed postcards.
Sheffield Friends of the Earth and Sheffield Renewables have been helping a local school to plan a solar installation. The school is still keen to go ahead and has received governor support. The forms have now gone in.
