Tree Planting

In October our group successfully applied for a pack of 105 trees to plant at the Bannerdale Centre in the spring.  The free trees are among 6 million to be planted with the help of the Woodland Trust during Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee year. Our planting, after 13th February, will contribute to an ambitious nationwide challenge to plant 1 million trees in just 29 days. The theme of our chosen pack is Wildlife.  With every pack, to commemorate the Jubilee year, is a royal sapling grown from tree seeds collected on royal estates such as Sandringham and Windsor.  The wildlife pack contains blackthorn, hawthorn, hazel, birch, rowan and oak. Please let the group know if you would like to take part in the tree planting by e-mailing:
