We were invited to a meeting in Tinsley where there are plans to build a new school on the local park. It appears that the school, if built on the park, would be away from the motorway and the resulting pollution and noise. However, there are strong feelings from some people that the park is too important to build on. There is no easy solution to this problem and the Sheffield FoE members who attended the meeting feel that they weren’t given the opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of the issue.
