On the 7th November 2013 Sheffield Friends of the Earth held a fracking meeting in the University’s Arts Tower. With hindsight, a different date would have been better as Natalie Bennett, the leader of the Green Party, was giving a talk in the same building. Nevertheless, Jane Thomas from national Friends of the Earth informed everyone about FoE's fracking campaign. FoE will focus much of its campaigning around Kent, Salford, Sussex, Lancashire and Northern Ireland in the near future.

John mentioned that Sheffield City Council have had 4 meetings about fracking and there might be a further 2 meetings to discuss going frack-free.
