Energy Bill - October 2013

A bid to include a target to decarbonise the UK's electricity generation by 2030 was narrowly defeated in the House of Commons on Tuesday 4th June. On Monday 28 October there will be a vote in the House of Lords that could help put the decarbonisation target back on track. Lord Oxburgh
KBE has tabled important “decarbonisation target” amendments to the Bill that would ensure UK electricity generation is almost entirely carbon-free by 2030.

Several members of our group have sent personal letters to members of the lords urging them to support the amendment.
