Last year Friends of the Earth teamed up with Girlguiding UK on a project called Changing the World. The 73rd Sheffield Brownies and Abbey District Rangers took on some challenges where they tried to go green in their everyday lives and made a note of what barriers were standing in their way. The results show that there are things that local councils could do to make it easier for people to go green. Sheffield Friends of the Earth is planning to get together with the Sheffield Brownies and Rangers to present this report to Sheffield City Council calling on the council to get serious about cutting carbon emissions. The date for the presentation has yet to be confirmed.
