Finances 2005-2006

Our finances remain relatively stable. We have spent more than in the previous year, but this is because in the past year we have invested in some equipment to make our campaigning more effective: a digital camera to provide high quality photographs, a gazebo so we can run stalls in all weathers and some clear plastic leaflet dispensers which allow us to display a wide range of leaflets - whilst preventing them blowing off the stall! As well as the usual sources of income (subscriptions, donations and stall sales) we had a £100 camera grant from national FoE.

A major change in the organisation of our finances has been the transfer of our funds from the Royal Bank of Scotland to the - more ethical - Co-op Bank. Now we have established the new account, we need to try and encourage local group members where possible to pay their subscriptions by standing order. This saves us - and members - a great deal of time and postage, so would seem to be a win-win option. Please consider it when you renew your membership.
