A Sheffield/Rotherham local organic food directory is currently being compiled. Sheffield FoE and Rotherham Foe are looking for outlets (shops, wholesalers, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes etc.) to be included in the directory. Many people will be taking to the streets of Sheffield and other cities across the world on Saturday 29th April to protest about environmental destruction. For a list of activities planned in Sheffield on this day see the diary at the back of this newsletter.

There will be a re-launch party for the RECYC shop that is reopening at 54 Upperthorpe Road, Upperthorpe, Sheffield. The party will consist of food and socialising on Friday 14th April from 3pm Onwards. For more details phone RECYC on 2634494 or 275 5055

The contract for Sheffield City Council Environment and Waste Management Services is out to tender. The Sheffield Community and voluntary sector recycling and composting groups are seeking support to lobby the city councillors and chief officers for an integrated best practice contact that recognises the environmental, social and economic values of community/voluntary sector recycling.
